Here’s a little bit about the film:
After existence cut apart by the police, killer doll Chucky (Brad Dourif) is resurrected by Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), an ex-girlfriend of the serial murderer whose mind is inside the toy. Following an argument, Chucky kills Tiffany and transfers her soul into a bride doll. To find the magical amulet that can restore them both to human form, Chucky and Tiffany arrange to be driven to New Jersey by Jesse (Nick Stabile) and Jade (Katherine Heigl), who are unaware that their cargo is alive.
What makes it queer?
Bride of Chucky introduces the first queer character in the series, David (Gordon Michael Woolvett) — Jade and Jesse’s best friend. The film also brings queer icons into the horror franchise, notably trans actress Alexis Arquette. The movie is also penned by out screenwriter Don Mancini! We’ll be interviewing the drag queen May May Graves before the assessing so come preliminary for our chat about the intersections of queerness and horror, and how horror inspires May May’s persona.

Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly was born Jennifer E. Chan in Harbor Urban area, California. Her father was a Chinese stockbroker. Tilly is her mother’s maiden name. Jennifer and her two sisters, Meg Tilly and Rebecca Tilly, were brought up in rural British Columbia, Canada. Jennifer began her acting career in her teenage years through a theatre program at Stephens Collage in Missouri.
Her breakthrough movie role was as a singing waitress in The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) in a part that was specially written for her by Steve Kloves. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Finest Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as a hopelessly unpleasant actress in Woody Allen’s Bullets Over Broadway (1994).
Tilly gained some additional popularity in recent years for providing voice-over work as killer doll Tiffany for the Child’s Perform series of movies. In the most recent installment, Seed of Chucky, she plays a dual role, not only providing the voice for Tiffany, but also playing an exaggerated version of herself. She also played the wife of a murdered Italian Mafia son in Bella Mafia with Dennis Farina.
