Young Justice: 15 Characters Who Are Members Of The LGBTQIA+ Community
Young Justice is an animated series that follows the many sidekicks of the DC Existence as they work to prove themselves as full-fledged heroes in their hold right and balance the struggles of teenage experience. Unlike similar shows DC Super Hero Girls and Teen Titans Go!, Young Justice takes a more serious approach and tackles mature themes of grief, PTSD, performance-enhancing drugs, and more.
During the first 2 seasons on Cartoon Network, the series needed to meet the standards of the kids' network, only allowing the series to touch on the more mature themes it wanted to. After being canceled in 2013, the exhibit was brought back as a DC Universe Unique and HBO Max Authentic for its fourth season. The move from a cable channel to a more mature streaming service allowed the creators free-range to explore the characters in ways they couldn’t before. Something Season 3 highlighted was the prodigious diversity within the larger DC Universe, not only across characters of other races and species, but also in gender and sexual orientation. In addition to the many heterosexual couples on the demonstrate, it w

So I wanted to construct a pride month post and I know I’m super late to the party, all of life's other problems really distracted me from pride month. So for DC instead of talking about an iconic pair of queens like harley and ivy or even a more on the nose cannon ship like Aqualad and Wyynde.
But Today we’re talking about Bart. Whooo
Isn’t he precious and no that’s not up for discussion.
Young Justice has two not official canon ships with Bart one being the older most more refined BluePulse with the players being Sky Beetle (Jamie reyes) with Impulse (Bart Allen) then the more newer ship since season 3 is GoldenFlash (This is still so new that the ship name last time i checked has not been decided by the community yet. But I always liked GoldenFlash more so we’re using it. But the other popular ship names to use for this search is bartuardo, bart x eduardo and even zetaflash) This is the ship of El Dorado (Eduardo jr) and Kid Flash (Bart Allen)
So I thought a entertaining idea for a pride month on the dc amino would be deeply explaining both of these relationships and why they both could add so much and where we stand a
DC Comics’ major superheroes revealed to be LGBTQ
DC Comics has made major announcements over the past few months concerning some of their younger characters by announcing that the characters Tim Drake, more commonly famous as Robin, and Jonathan Kent, or Superboy, are both bisexual. Seeing how Superman was DC’s first caped crusader, it seems fitting that his son has joined DC Comics’ heroes who are a part of the LGBT community.
Many of the heroes loved by viewers today are a part of the LGBT society, making them more loveable and relatable. Characters such as Catwoman, Aqualad, Impulse, Batwoman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and many more include identified themselves as a part of this community. The only question is will these newly outed characters properly depict the LGBT community?
A breakdown of each of these characters and their representation is cooperative when analyzing their progression. These characters have existed for decades, and for many DC fans, their bisexuality has become headcanon. Robin and Superboy are the newest members of the people, and therefore hold been put in the spotlight.Â
Tim Drake was officially confirmed as bisexual in August of this y
Bart Allen is gay...
... and Jaime Reyes isn’t. BluePulse ain’t gonna happen, sorry.
Now hold your horses, this is by no means ship hate. You like BluePulse? Go for it! I enjoy Bart Allen, I like Jaime Reyes, so this isn’t nature bashing either. season 3 episode 16 just aired, so be aware of said spoilers!
So, why do I say this? Good because of the not-so-subtle hints that we’ve been given.
1) Bart doesn’t have a love intrest, and we know that YJ likes them love interests. He’s not even a minor traits, still, no girl? Jaime doesn’t have a love interest in Invasion (though he is hinted to be attracted to Cassie in a tie in comic) and then is obviously virtual dating Traci now.
2) A very usual incident brought up: Bart was at the Bialya all female mission that was said “men, if you straight, do not come”. Yeah, thanks Batman.
3) His sexuality was also considered a spoiler request at AskGreg, this is the same guy who described in detail that Aremis set up out Dick was Robin bc she saw him naked twice in one day.
4) Arrowette joins the team in the commencement of Outsiders. She is arguably the closest Bart had to a love interest in the comics, and they did not se
