Gay creeps

I'm homophobic because same-sex attracted men give me the creeps.

It's ok, thinking about what straight men act sexually gives me the creeps too. /s

Joking aside, I'm not really surprised. I think a lot of people see being same-sex attracted as something "abnormal", and their reaction, even if not necessarily meant to be rude or otherwise, reflects that.

I also receive the sense that a lot of (especially traditionally masculine) guys are uncomfortable with or view gay guys as an affront to traditional masculinity, and I know from experience that no matter how decent or masculine of a person you try to be, if certain types of people discover out you're same-sex attracted, you're going to get seen as an effeminate fag or some sort of creepy sexual deviant. I ponder men are seen as more sexual in general, which probably plays into the negative views.

I feel like lesbians are perceived as less threatening, probably because women attend to be viewed as less threatening and/or sexual in general in society(and a lot of straight men appear to get off to lesbians in terms of sexual media content, as well, so that probably plays into it).

Hot take: Ronnie Radke is a joke and Falling In Reverse sucks.

Actually, I take that advocate . I would dislike to have my calling Radke “a joke” give anyone the mistaken impact that he is in any way humorous. He is not. Also saying that Falling In Reverse sucks is insulting to vacuums and fellatio, things that are useful and that a lot of people like. Radke, in case you’re privileged and don’t trails the news of mediocre metalcore bands, is the singer of Falling In Reverse. He is also a transphobic, racist, sexist creep.

Radke’s got a drawn-out history of misogyny. In 2012, he pleaded no competition to domestic abuse. He has also served time for his role in a murder. So, yikes.

Further proof that Radke is sexist and unfunny. In 2014, he mutual a “joke” about 9/11 that I will not duplicate here, but his Twitter apology tells you all you need to know: “The joke i made about what men will execute for sex with the 9/11 picture attached to it was not intended to offend anyone.”

Ah, I see. It was not intended to offend anyone. Radke’s intentions were no doubt as pure then as they are now when he was recently outraged after seeing trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney — you know, the same person who drove Kid

The Big, Bad Wolf: “Creep” and Gay Panic as Horror

Posted on Updated on

Josef (Mark Duplass) has a penchant for scaring people. With love. It’s kind of an eye roll worthy thing, actually. On the behest of his invitation, Aaron (director Patrick Brice) brings him camera, under the assumption he’ll be filming Josef’s time capsule video for his as yet unborn son Buddy. And, as always when following up with a Craigslist ad, there’s something off. Josef is weird. Josef is odd. With his overbearing saccharine personality that often manifests in inappropriate hugs, lack of awareness of others’ personal territory, and explicit outpourings of tenderness, Josef is kind of a creep. Maybe more implicitly, a straight guy’s nightmare.

Brice’s film, Creep, places Aaron and Joe in situations where their dynamic must evolve, the film’s narrative trajectory contingent on the time that the two spend together in the latter’s cabin in the woods and to what degree power is allowed to switch between the two. For the most part, it’s in the hands of Josef, who’s illustrated by Duplass as too off kilter to be ineffectual enough to not be jarred by.

Cindy! Brad's here! And don't let him fondle your breasts because the slugs are invading, which means we're discussing Fred Dekker's delightfully sweet sci-fi comedy horror film Night of the Creeps (1986)! Joining us for the conversation is Patrick Walsh, the host of the ScreamQueenz podcast!

Join us as we discuss the film's botched release before we move all in on a queer reading of JC (Steve Marshall) as the film's "gay best friend." Plus: disabled representation, two different endings, one very resourceful slug-infested dog and why "purée" is the gayest button on the blender.
