Craig David has been free for most of his music career.
And as he approaches 37, rumours about the unmarried singer's sexuality continue to swirl.
But the Fill Me In punch maker insisted that his preference for women has always been clear in his songs.
"I think it’s very evident in the way my songs are and how I say about relationships so I wouldn’t even go into it. It’s like if that’s what you sense it’s what you feel," he told The Sun.
"The only person that really matters is the association that I’m in and I know, I know."
The singer from Southampton enjoyed a romance with Colombian actress and model Sofia Vergara in 2003.
But other than that short-lived affair , he's kept his partners out of the universal eye.

Craig David has revealed that he has been celibate for two years as he took a step back from attachment to 'heal his own issues'.
The singer, 43, said the break from sexual activity has been 'good vibes' as he has managed to avoid a lot 'drama' in the past 48 months.
He also admitted that, without the distraction of connection, his creative sparks have been electrifying his production in the studio.
'It has been really pleasant for me because man, the studio music, the creativity, it's like, no drama just vibes!', he told The TMZ Podcast .
'I comprehend to the appointment, It's been two years now for me [without sex]. But in a funny way, much as I was like 'Wow!' to myself for the moment, [my] creativity has been on a 100, on a max, for those two years.'

Craig David has finally put to bed rumours surrounding his sexuality, saying he is confused by the constant need to describe people.
In a recent appearance on The Sun's Bizarre Life podcast, the unmarried 36-year-old singer said he likes to "leave it very open" because the LGBT conversation has shifted.
"You know what? I leave it very uncover because at the end of the day it's one of those things where I shouldn't have to reinforce and mention, 'No, I'm a heterosexual' — because that's all nonsense.

As his romantic life continues to make raise questions he reminded fans that a person's taste is not as important as people like to think.
